Our company’s story:
TranslatiOm has its origins in Anu Huusko’s passion for language and cultures. Anu, the company’s founder, began working part-time in November 2011 with translation in addition to her regular job. She has a substantial linguistic background, having studied English since the age of nine. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration for international business, with previous studies in English. Finnish is also close to her heart, and over the years Anu has studied other languages at higher academic levels. In addition, she has studied creative writing since 2020 through courses at the Päätalo Institute.
In 2014, Anu Huusko decided to found TranslatiOm. Anu made the decision when she realized that after finishing each regular workday, she was practically completing a second workday as a translator. TranslatiOm was founded on the idea of offering businesses high-quality translation services without unnecessary middlemen.
TranslatiOm grew significantly during its first years, and Anu Huusko was soon able to share assignments with other translators. From this group grew an established team that continues to make up the core of TranslatiOm. Our team comprises reliable freelance translators who contribute their extensive expertise and skills in a range of subject areas.
